Teen Sabrina Parker loses his life for ALS
Most people who develop ALS are between 40 and 70 Sabrina - who was diagnosed at 15 - was the youngest patient with the disease at Duke University Hospital to be treated.
Sabrina has inspired everyone in her life because she courage and resilience. ALS is probably one of the worst of all diseases and hearing or seeing a young man fight this evil with as much dignity is amazing.
His grandfather Noland Parker said Sabrina maintain a positive attitude and made the best of every moment.
"They loved life as best they could, and we need to clarify that ... We did not try to restrain them because we feared something might happen," Nolan said. "She loved her freedom and wanted to get up and leave whenever they wanted and did not leave the machine or illness, they hold it. "
Noland and his wife Selma was Sabrina's guardian after his mother, Melissa Kay Parker, has died at age 24 of ALS. He said they just liked to grow in a mature and respectful young wife Sabrina.
"It was pretty quiet, and they got along with everybody and they did everything other kids did," he said. "She played softball and love being around her friends, calls and text messages on mobile phones, they like listening to music."
Sabrina funeral will take place today.
