With Coachella already go and a handful of Lollapalooza acts already short season of summer festivals is just around the time one of the best and biggest of all. But this Bonnaroo, adventure camping rural Tennessee that began as a gathering of obsessed Jam Band, but has become one of the best music events of the world? Tuesday morning (Feb. 15), Bonnaroo lineup has been unveiled, with Eminem, Lil Wayne and Arcade Fire, the (running Tennessee 9 to June 12 in Manchester) the main headliners for this model year. The top line is complemented by the likes of the Strokes (they appear during the festival) The Black Keys, My Morning Jacket, Florence and the Machine and the reunification of Buffalo Springfield.
It's eclectic programming, of course (it is even more hip-hop on the bill than ever, especially against headlining), but much remains for the purists Bonnaroo. No matter who you are, you will find something.
But what if you do not even know what you're looking for? Here are five acts on the Bonnaroo bill, which was circled, highlighted and checked on your calendar as you make your way in the wilderness.
Lil Wayne
Of course, this is a flag and a big star, but how often do you get in a festival setting to see? With quantity, size, and a sound system of this magnitude are available (not to mention the public with exceptional softness), Lil Wayne performance could turn into one of those transcendent, we always end up hearing about the latest . Except this time, you're really there.
The sword
For the uninitiated, the sword play the kind of zonked-out, means muddy, panting hard rock sometimes referred to as "stoner metal", but they are much more dynamic than the nickname suggests reductive. His show is legendary, strong, and they should (because you need to see the balance, you), some much needed among all the bad vibes in Manchester.
The Black Keys
Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney are secretly one of the best groups to work festival, which extends from their songs in a sweat, blurred explode orgies of sound, Darts, and Groove. Their set at Lollapalooza 2008 was a revelation, and have only better, because then receive.
Girl Talk
For a group that consists of slightly more than one type and a laptop, Girl Talk dynamic always terrifying. At parties, Greg Gillis is "something which approach is in the red, and his set at Bonnaroo will probably be in mass hysteria, and the free end of caresses. So, you know, size.
Wiz Khalifa
If nothing else, this show should be an excellent test for one of the MCs buzz worthy to be on stage again. Wiz can handle the crowds? Then the title of confinement of working outdoors? Wiz that succeeds or fails (and the former is much more likely), it is quite a party.
