Jerusalem police say they have the body of an American tourist whose friend said yesterday that they discovered had been attacked by two Arabs on a hike.
Israeli officials identified the dead woman as Christine Logan. She was found in bushes near a highway about 12 miles west of Jerusalem on Sunday morning, reports United Press International.
Logan's friend, British-born Susan Kaye Wilson, was handcuffed and bleeding from several stab wounds in his back Saturday. She told authorities she and Logan on a road when they were approached by two Arab men who asked for water. They left the place, but returned to the attack and Logan Wilson.
"Suddenly I heard a noise, it happened so fast -. They came and attacked us one of them took a very long knife -. As a bread knife with a sharp edge," she said . 'One of them was the star of David necklace from my neck like a gentleman, and then got stabbed 12 times. They came to kill. Nobody walks around with a knife for no reason, "she said, quoted by Ynet News. com.
Wilson's discovery sparked a major manhunt for Logan in the area of Beit Shemesh around Jerusalem. Like Wilson, she was handcuffed and was found with multiple stab wounds. The police said they do not seem to have sexually assaulted or robbed.
