Meredith, Cosell and Frank Gifford not the first "Monday Night Football" booth - in the first year it was Keith Jackson did play-by-play with Cosell and Meredith that his color commentators Gifford joined in 1971 - it was This trio, made the unlikely event visualization Nighter Monday for much of the nation.
Meredith, who was actually left "Monday Night Football" from 1974-1976, known for his charisma, the popular song "Turn the light that the party is over" to give, when a game is in hand. It was also for some minor controversy when his sense of humor too close to some people in the comfort of known depth. But Dandy Don gay, friendly personality was a success.
Meredith was part of "Monday Night Football" booth of 1970-1973 and again from 1977 to 1984. Part of what made him so memorable as a broadcaster was the team he was part of a long period. He Cosell (in the cabin from 1971 to 1983) and Gifford (1971-1985) played each other so well. Meredith was the comedian of the intellectual Cosell and Gifford classic play-by-play.
The trio of "Monday Night Football 'more than a sporting event, they made an event and entertainment. They prepare the ground for the mission which is today's cultural epic.
