The founder of 68 years and leader of The Isley Brothers released his first solo album on Tuesday, two days after Sunday honored in 2010 on the Soul Train Awards.
40th Anniversary, celebrates the show - November 10, was gunned down Nov. 28 broadcast, but on BET - Isley honored the careers of two and Anita Baker.
"Thanks to all my fans for their support for so many years!" Isley tweeted after the show. "I am so grateful!
Prizes were also given to Rihanna, the likes of Eminem (Best Hip-Hop Song of the Year for "Love the Way You Lie"), Usher ("Album of the Year for Raymond vs. Raymond) and Alicia Keys (Record of the Year "unthinkable [I'm ready]" and "Best Female R & B Soul artist).
Isley went on stage to perform a medley of his hits green next to Chante Moore and Cee Lo. He also sang alongside R. Kelly, whose 2002 single "Contagious" presented his famous family group.
The singer said the idea of a gospel album in prison for tax evasion. "MI" is his first solo album is November 30, will be published seven months after being released from prison.
