As usual, the hype for the Apple announcement on November 16 was heavy, and the payoff has left some satisfied, and others wondering what the big deal is. Â Before November 16, the Apple announcement was known to concern iTunes, so many were wondering if the software would receive a significant upgrade. Â And while the November 16 Apple announcement did provide an addition to iTunes, it wasnât a new feature â" it was the announcement that the Beatles would now be on iTunes.
While hardcore fans and Apple fanboys praised the November 16 Apple announcement, others wondered why it was so highly hyped. Â A massive announcement for Beatles iTunes availability? Â Sure, the Beatles are considered among the greatest artists of all time, but did Apple really need to hype this up? Â After all, Amazon doesnât hype things up when it adds artists to its roster (incidentally, you can already find the Beatles on Amazon MP3 for $.99 per song â" check it out right here).
Of course, the November 16 Apple announcement does mark the end of a lot of legal wrangling, so Apple is probably pretty excited, even if iTunes fans are not. The Beatles iTunes availability will likely make Apple a lot of money, another reason to hype it up.
