Fennville, Mich. (AP) - An autopsy has confirmed a high-Michigan basketball players who shot the school collapsed on the floor after a game-winner died of cardiac arrest due to an enlarged heart.
Fennville star Wes Leonard reminder, "as every American" kid. His basket of overtime Thursday gave his team a perfect 20-0. But shortly after the end of the match, junior age 16 is in the gym floor, his life fading just moments after winning layup.
Coach Ryan Klingler said he court began to panic when he heard someone call his name into one.
A visit to Leonard was set for Sunday, the funeral on Tuesday. The team plays again in the district playoffs Monday, but officials have not yet decided whether to bring them to justice.
