Toomer Corner Auburn fans were celebrating after winning BCS Championship Game.
When Cameron Newton led the No. 1 Auburn Tigers to a national championship on the Oregon Ducks this season, knew exactly where to go Auburn fans: Corner of Toomer.
The area known to be responsible for developing the fans of Auburn University along the following major gains, and where it finally ended Jan. 10.
But apparently, the oak Corner Toomer was poisoned after the Cup of iron, a herbicide commonly used in "lethal quantities" for the underlying soil.
Auburn took samples of soil on January 28, a day after a man who, as "Al Dadeville," said identified in a local radio program.
The man who says he went into the bowl of iron during the season, he said it was a poisoning of trees.
Via ESPN:
"The weekend after the Iron Bowl, I went to Auburn, Alabama, because I live 30 miles, and I poisoned Toomer's trees," said the visitor Fine trees radio that Paul was at the Iron Bowl.
The appellant bounded off the radio interview said the trees "will surely die," and ending with "Roll Tide Damn."
"Can we each step we shared memory to Toomer's Oak, which were home to many festivals and a symbol of the spirit for Auburn Auburn generations of students, fans, alumni," said President Jay Gogue University a statement.
Yet another example of why fans are crazy about sport and can make mistakes.
