McGraw Hill Construction Dodge (part of the McGraw-Hill family of companies) has reportedly acknowledged wrongdoing, according to the Reed Construction Data (which owns Reed Connect). According to Reed Construction Data (or more simply, RCD), Dodge has been using ill-gained information â" including RCDâs trade secrets â" to gain an unfair and unlawful advantage over its competitors.
RCD believes that Dodge employees disguised themselves as potential customers in order to gain access to valuable and secretive information. The accusation has thus far culminated in a lawsuit which RCD filed in mid-October. According to RCD, Dodge has confirmed that it paid third parties to obtain information, that it analyzed this information in order to get ahead of its competition and that many images and documents were shared with McGraw Hill sales team.
Now, McGraw-Hill may be acknowledging these accusations, at least in part. RCD is hoping to recoup some of the money lost unfairly due to the McGraw-Hill connect scandal.
