The day after her reps denied the Desperate Housewives star was seeking divorce, a spokesman for Los Angeles Superior Court confirmed she had filed papers.
The sad news follows US magazine reports that the NBA player had been sending hundreds of texts to a family friend.
The couple met shortly after Eva's 2004 divorce from first husband, TYLER CHRISTOPHER.
They married in Paris three years ago and, in July, they celebrated their anniversary with an Adriatic cruise.
The couple's reps said they were "not commenting at this time."
No doubt Eva's best pal VICTORIA BECKHAM will be on hand to lend her support.
