It was assumed that if Auburn did to the BCS National Championship Game, SEC team would slip into the Sugar Bowl selection as a whole. Now we have our first official confirmation of a bowl of sugar.
Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Matt Jones Tweets as:
A spokesman for Sugar confirms what we believed all together: This is a game in the Sugar Bowl when Auburn wins the SEC championship.
It's always quite logical. The SEC champion has been to the Sugar Bowl tickets in the years that the SEC champion in the game BCS National Championship does not work because it has not happened since the 2005 Sugar Bowl was the team second tier of the SEC for the last few years, usually because the team that built the most geographic sense for the New Orleans Bowl was.
And over the years, LSU is the BCS-eligible, the Sugar Bowl all but drooling over the possibility of a power in the state plays for a virtual home game.
